Michael P. Puorro, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Puorro has over 30 years banking experience and over 25 years as a senior banking executive in all facets of developing successful financial institutions. Since 2012, Mr. Puorro has served as the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Hanover Community Bank, and its holding company since its inception in 2016. Mr. Puorro coordinated an effort to reorganize and recapitalize Hanover through a revamped Board of Directors and new management team. Since the Company’s recapitalization, the Bank’s equity position has increased by $120 million while producing a 307% increase in stock issuance. Further, during this time, Hanover has grown its asset base by approximately $1.5 billion and has consistently displayed a track record of record earnings and strong asset quality. Today, Hanover is one of New York’s fastest growing community banks and is class leading in many financial metrics. Prior to Hanover, Mr. Puorro was the Co-Chairman and President of Madison National Bancorp, Inc. and Madison National Bank where he was a leading member of Madison’s entrepreneurial group and executive management team that raised $32.5 million in capital from a private placement. Prior to this, Mr. Puorro served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of New York Community Bancorp, Inc. where he was directly responsible for managing the financial functions of the fourth largest thrift in the United States with over $24 billion in assets and $5 billion in market capitalization. Before his tenure with New York Community Bank, Mr. Puorro served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Roslyn Bancorp, Inc. where he coordinated Company growth from less than $1 billion to over $12 billion in assets, and from five to forty full service retail locations. Mr. Puorro was a former senior member in the Financial Services Group of KPMG LLP, specializing in financial institutions ranging in size from local community banks to super money center institutions. Mr. Puorro is a former Board member of the New York Banker’s Association which serves as the State’s preeminent provider of legislative and regulatory services to a unified banking industry. Mr. Puorro earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Dowling College’s School of Professional Accountancy, and in addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. In May 2012, Mr. Puorro received an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Human Letters from Dowling College.

Mac Wilcox, S.E.V.P Chief Lending & Revenue Officer

With over 20 years of experience as a banking leader and entrepreneur, Mr. Wilcox is a strong believer in small businesses and the power of local entrepreneurs to drive economic development and growth. At Hanover, Mr. Wilcox is responsible for residential and commercial lending and business development, including strategic partnerships and new expansion opportunities. Previously, Mr. Wilcox was President & CEO of Savoy Bank through its merger with Hanover in May 2021, At Savoy, Mr. Wilcox oversaw the bank's transition into a leading SBA lender and growth from roughly $80 million to nearly $700 million in assets through the origination of more than $1 billion in commercial loans across many industries, including technology, real estate, construction, hospitality, healthcare, apparel, contracting, retail, jewelry and manufacturing. Previously, Mr. Wilcox cofounded a community development bank to serve underbanked communities in the South Bronx and across New York City, Mr. Wilcox earned a BA at Vanderbilt University and an MBA from ASU, Thunderbird School of Global Management and has a degree in Credit Analysis from New York University.

Lance P. Burke, E.V.P & Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Burke brings to Hanover extensive accounting, operations, and M&A expertise with over 20 years of experience in the banking industry and the proven ability to streamline accounting efficiency and improve various processes within the Finance area. At Hanover, Mr. Burke will be responsible for and oversee all aspects of financial management of the Company and the Bank. As CFO, Mr. Burke will also work closely with the CEO and President on investor relations and capital raising initiatives. Prior to joining Hanover in May 2021, Mr. Burke most recently served as Senior Vice President & Controller of Dime Bank (formerly BNB Bank) and was an integral part of their three acquisitions and one merger of equals. During his 12-year tenure at BNB, Mr. Burke was at the forefront of the Accounting department, responsible for all facets of Accounting operations, SEC and Regulatory Reporting, Corporate Insurance and Equity Plan Administration. A graduate of SUNY Old Westbury with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Mr. Burke began his career in banking as a teller, moving quickly to the role of Assistant Vice President of Financial Reporting at New York Community Bank where he spent the first ten years of his career.

Alice T. Rouse, E.V.P. & Chief Risk Officer

Ms. Rouse has over 25 years of banking experience and oversees all enterprise risk management functions including the administration of Hanover’s Corporate Compliance area. Ms. Rouse also serves as the liaison for the Bank’s outsourced internal audit function, administers the vendor management process and ensures that the Bank’s internal operating policies are designed to minimize risk and comply with regulatory requirements. Prior to joining Hanover in March 2017, Ms. Rouse served in many financial and audit capacities at Astoria Bank for 24 years and was an integral part of Astoria Bank’s Initial Public Offering and three acquisitions. Prior to joining Astoria Bank, Ms. Rouse was an Audit Manager in the Financial Services Group of the public accounting firm of KPMG LLP, specializing in financial institutions. Ms. Rouse earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State.

Kevin Corbett, E.V.P. & Chief Credit Officer

Mr. Corbett has over 40 years of experience in the banking industry and has extensive expertise in all facets of credit risk and portfolio management as well as new product development. At Hanover, Mr. Corbett is responsible for management of the Bank's Credit Administration Department, including the underwriting and loan review analysis process, and all functions providing lending support, direction, credit information, and loan policies, procedures and processes to ensure the overall quality of the Bank's lending portfolio and adherence to the Bank’s Credit Policy. Mr. Corbett also oversees Loan Servicing, Loan Administration and Credit Risk Management. Prior to joining Hanover, Mr. Corbett served as Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of Dime Community Bank and Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of Astoria Bank where he had the responsibility for the credit quality of commercial and residential portfolios in excess of $15 billion. Prior to Astoria Bank, Mr. Corbett served as Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Risk Officer of Israel Discount Bank of New York, overseeing a commercial portfolio in excess of $7 billion. Mr. Corbett is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics.

Michael P. Locorriere, E.V.P & Chief Municipal Officer

Mr. Locorriere has extensive municipal expertise with more than 30 years of banking and government experience. At Hanover, Mr. Locorriere is responsible for all municipal depository activities including developing, maintaining and administering municipal programs that contribute to the effective and profitable operation of the Bank. He currrently manages a municipal portfolio that consists of balances in excess of $650 million. Prior to joining Hanover, Mr. Locorriere served as Executive Vice President & Director of Municipal Banking at Empire National Bank. He also served in various government positions including Comptroller for the Town of North Hempstead as well as being elected to the Suffolk County Legislature representing the northeast communities of Brookhaven Town. Mr. Locorriere is a member of the following associations: New York State Bankers Association Municipal Finance Committee; Long Island Regional Council Member of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA); Suffolk and Nassau Association of School Business Officials; and the Long Island Village Clerks and Treasurers Association. Mr. Locorriere earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Mansfield College and an MBA from Dowling College.
